Editor's note/apology: Goshe sent me this article in early July, beating out some of the "big time expert's" predictions. My apologies for posting this so late!!!
- Michigan will win more than six games - I enjoy seeing the traditional powers fall but not for very long
- Ohio State's QB Terrelle Pryor will win the 2009 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year award as a sophomore. - Yes folks, he is that good.
- Utah will fall in the rankings. 15 to out of the top 25. - This is a classic case of a team that loads ukp for a big year every four years and then begins it's rebuilding process.
- Notre Dame will win at least nine games - Charlie will keep his job although after each loss they nay-sayers will be calling for his head.
- Florida's Tim Tebow will win his second Heisman Trophy - Yes folks, he is also that good.
- West Virginia will struggle to win three of it's first five games - Replace Pat White? And win? We'll see...
- Rutgers will challenge for the Big East title - Someone has to win it.
- Georgia Tech will run for over 400 yards ini six games - Not everyone has the players LSU has to stop these guys.
- Either Boise State, TCU, Fresno, or Utah will be considered by the experts as the BCS buster - When are we going to give these teams the respect they deserve?
- Texas will disappoint - Last year it was Georgia, 2009 will be Texas.
- Oklahoma will disappoint - The Big 12 will knock each other out in 2009.
- The SEC will dominate the preseason polls as far as the top 10 goes but will falter overall as a conference - The SEC is becoming increasingly divided.
- North Carolina's defense will start to position itself as one of the best in the country year in and year out - There were signs of it this year and they were YOUNG.
- Florida State will again lose to Florida by a wide margin (20+) - Mark this one down for the next five years.
- Wisconsin's coach gets put onto the hot seat. - There are grumblings taking place in Badger country after that bad FSU loss.
- The MAC will not win a bowl game...again - The conference needs to step it up. Please steal some things from the WAC...please.
- Colorado returns to the big stage - This once proud program should be ready to start competing again for conference titles.
- Penn State's Joe Paterno will call it quits - I will predict this every year until he actually hangs it up. I have to be right sooner or later.
- Cincinnati will fall out of bowl consideration - See #3 and apply the same to UC.
- USC will lose a game to someone in the PAC 10 - This one sounds dumb at first but in reality, should USC ever lose to anyone in the PAC 10 besides their 2nd team?
- Although a good decision, Colt McCoy will lower his draft status by playing another year in college (Editor's note/opinion: I said this last year and I'll say it again, Colt McCoy is junk and will be junk at the next level) - Defenses will expose his weaknesses and NFL teams will shy away from him.
- Pitt may actually meet expectations - Eight games. No more.
- Illinois will return to the bowl season after a sub-par year - Zooker is a great recruiter and talent goes a long way in winning football games.
- LSU's Les Miles will lose more of his support after another lack luster year - With the talent LSU is bringing in each year, they should contend every year. No matter what.
- Alabama wins it all - Roll Tide!!!
