Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the New York Jets have acquired former All-Pro cornerback Antonio Cromartie from the San Diego Chargers.  The Jets will send their 2011 3rd round draft pick as compensation for the trade.

For weeks Cromartie has been on the rumor mill as being trade bait after falling out with the management and his teammates for his lack of effort in some pivotal match-ups last season.  If Cromartie can regain his focus and return to the form that made him a 2007 Pro Bowler, the NY Jets secondary will be almost unbeatable.
